The Tournament

A World-Class Event

As a three-time recipient of the President’s Award (2014, 2015, and 2017) as the top event on the PGA TOUR Champions, the Rogers Charity Classic has become a staple summer event, promising a world-class experience for golf fans and non-golf fans alike.

Watch Some of the Greatest Names in Golf

Competing for $2.4 million in a three-round, 54-hole stroke-play tournament, you can catch a glimpse of all 78 stars on the PGA TOUR Champions at Calgary’s own Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club, August 14-18, 2024.

Support Alberta’s Youth

The winners of the Rogers Charity Classic go beyond those on the course. The tournament has raised more than $112 million for over 270 Alberta children and youth charities in the last nine years.

The Patron Group

The Rogers Charity Classic is backed by a philanthropic group of Calgary business leaders known as “The Patron Group.” In 2012, the late Clay Riddell brought community leaders together, including: Jim Riddell, Allan Markin, Keith MacPhail, Guy Turcotte, Gary Peddle, Mike Culbert, Brad Shaw and PGA Tour Professional, Stephen Ames. Together they created the Rogers Charity Classic (formerly the Shaw Charity Classic) – the PGA TOUR Champions’ only Canadian event.

Thanks to the leadership of the entire Patron Group, along with the unwavering commitment of Albertans who show up to support the more than 270 charitable groups, the Rogers Charity Classic has now raised more than $112 million for children in need.
