Besides watching some of the best golfers compete in our province, our real drive is helping the kids who call Alberta home. Thanks to your support, we have raised over $61 million dollars for over 200 children and youth charities across Alberta.
Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink is a non-profit program under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation. This program is designed to help raise new funds for local charities, engage the community in the tournament, and provide matching funds for each charity involved.
- You can donate online or by cheque
- Donations can be made to the Shaw Charity Classic Foundation matching pool or directly to a participating charity
- Donations directed to a participating charity are matched up to 50% using the Foundation matching pool
- All administrative costs are covered by the tournament, meaning 100% of all donations will go directly to the charity selected.
Shaw and the Shaw Charity Classic presented by Suncor are excited to announce the return of #ChipinforKids to rally the community throughout the summer to support our charities.
Each of our participating charities have been given a unique code, which supporters can text to make a $10 donation. Shaw will match every donation made dollar for dollar – and since donations are made through Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, they will also be matched up to an additional 50 per cent by the Shaw Charity Classic Foundation. That means that for every $10 donated, your charity of choice could receive up to $30.
