Make Your Donation Go Even Further.

Thank you for your interest in donating to Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink (BFK). BFK is a fundraising program designed where charities solicit donations and receive extra funding of up to 50%. Participating charities will receive 100% of EVERY DONATION collected on their behalf.

How Does it Work?

Donors can make a donation to their favorite participating Birdies for Kids charity between February 1 and September 3 by credit card, cash or cheque. Participating charities recieve 100% of every donation, and all donations are matched up to 50%. If you do not specify a specific charity on your donation form, then your donation will go to the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation and will be included in the matching funds for the program. All money raised will be going to support children and youth-based charities across Alberta.

Matching Program

The most exciting part of the program comes together from various corporate supporters with AltaLink being the Founding Partner. For every dollar raised by each charity, up to 50% will be matched. This means that if you give a one-time flat donation of $50, up to an additional $25 will be given to your charity of choice!

Payment Methods

You can choose to pay by cash, cheque, or credit card. All donations over $5,000 must be paid by cheque. All cheques must be made out to the 'Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation.' Do not pay the charity directly. If you are sending cash or a cheque, please send the cheque to the address listed below and ensure you have specified which charity your donation is for. You can either write it in the memo line of the cheque or write a note indicating which charity you would like to support.
