QUEST THEATRE
Founded in 1984, Quest Theatre is a professional theatre company in Calgary devoted to the development and empowerment of young people. We envision a galaxy where theatre is valued as an essential part of growing up. Quest creates intelligent and whimsical theatre experiences that encourage young people to explore who they are, discover what is important, and build the kind of world they want to live in.
We do this primarily through school and community productions, an Artists in School Program, seasonal drama camps and community engagement activities. We also spend time supporting the development of new Canadian plays for young people.
Providing bursaries and subsidies to children and schools has been a core part of Quest’s programming and fundraising for many years. We work hard to reach new people, disadvantaged and/or marginalized communities and youth at risk through community and educational partnerships.
Inspiring children to play, create, question, explore, discover, understand and dream are just a few of the high-level outcomes achieved through the whimsy and magic of theatre.
